Overview

The Biocommunication in Cardiometabolic Diseases Group is a unit of the University of Montpellier located on the Pharmacy Department campus.

Our unit’s research project focuses on biocommunication between the cardiovascular/renal axis and metabolic tissues within the complex pathophysiological context of metabolic syndrome.

Our research focuses on better characterizing the pathophysiological mechanisms involved in damage to various target tissues (cardiovascular and metabolic) during metabolic dysfunction, as well as the bio-communication pathways between these tissues.

Through this integrative approach to chronic diseases, we hope to develop new therapeutic strategies aimed at preventing damage to cardiovascular and metabolic tissues, thereby reducing cardiovascular risk and metabolic dysfunction.
